I like short films just as much as the next guy. So, when I saw Patrik Andersson’s Swedish Girls on a couple different websites yesterday I decided to see what all the hullabaloo was about. Produced for J Dauphin, which best I can tell is a jewelry company, Swedish Girls stars model Elsa Hosk as herself. For much of the 10 minute video Hosk wanders around New York City, though she does stop off at her new apartment. To be honest, the plot is relatively non-existent but Andersson’s directing is interesting enough that the absence of plot doesn’t matter much. And, then of course there is the fact that Hosk is semi-nude for a sizable portion of Swedish Girls. Yeah, I thought that might catch your attention.
