From time to time I like to give shout out to shops and businesses that have helped us along the way. My first love, before the internet/design/art/blogging was skateboarding and throughout the years no one has had a bigger presence than Indiana based skateboard shop, Rise Skateboard Shop.
Created by skateboarders for skateboarders, Rise is one of those special 100% pure skateboard shops that thrive off love and support. Opened in 2004, I’ve followed the shop through three locations around the city and have played S.K.A.T.E. inside every spot. Owned by Ryan Smith, a Bloomington Indiana local, be sure to drop in this joint if you’re ever in the Midwest and tell him I sent you…I’m sure he will be hookin’ you up with a handful of free stickers!
