4 hours. 6 oz. pours. 7 bars. 34 breweries. 100+ craft beers to sample.
The numbers don’t lie, the 3rd annual LA Craft Beer Crawl is going to be one hell of a time. This Saturday, Aug. 18, seven of the best bars in Downtown LA, will being pouring unlimited samples of extraordinary craft beer from around the globe.
That’s right unlimited pours.
Here’s how it works. You check in at Casey’s Irish Pub for a wristband and 6.oz tasting glass. Then, you make your way to the Broadway Bar, Seven Grand, Las Perlas, Cole’s, Cana Rum Bar, and Golden Gopher sampling great tasting beers at each place. If you get the munchies there will be food trucks placed along the route to help keep the beer in your stomach company.
This year, four small seminars have been added to the events for the biggest of beer geeks. Theses seminars are hosted by beer community leaders, and besides being very informative, they’re also a way to try exclusive beers not available to the public. You have your choice of checking out Beer Chicks Picks, Whiskey and Beer, Brewers Gone Sour, and Viva la Birra Italiana. The Beer and Whiskey seminar feels specially made for the Newestra team.
This event isn’t just mindless binge drinking, a portion of the proceeds go to “Heal The Bay,” an organization working to keep our local oceans clean, safe, and healthy. So, you can take pride knowing that you’re helping the environment as you drink the day away.
Tickets for the event start at $54 and you can get your hands on them over here.
The crawl is from 3pm-7pm, after the bars will open to the public, so feel free to keep the party going into the night, or use those hours to sober up. This is definitely a taxi night.
The only question that remains: How many great beers can you try in 4 hours?
See you guys there.
