Big fan of the all animated group “Gorillaz“? If so, your gonna have to check out this 91-minute documentary tracking the history of the most successful animated band ever.
“Bananaz” a documentary shot by filmmaker Ceri Levy, journeys back into the late ’90s at the birth of a concept band created by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett. You’ll get a first look at illustrated concepts for the cartoon characters of Murdoc, 2D, Noodle and Russel Hobbs. Documenting over 6 years of footage, the list of artist collabos are chalk full legends in their own respected industry. Artists like; De La Soul, Ike Turner, Dennis Hopper, Ibrahim Ferrer, Neneh Cherry, Bootie Brown, Dangermouse, and D12 all make appearances.
