A good friend of mine and former CraveOnline Media colleague, Kevin Cogill a.k.a. SKWERL was arrested at his home early today on suspicion of violating federal copyright laws, and is expected to appear in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles later today.
SKWERL WTF HOMIE?! I don’t know whether to Rage with you or smack you upside the head for thinking you would get away with this leak. Shit, and to go up against GNR of all bands?!
SKWERL, the mastermind behind the controversial music blog Antiquiet leaked 9 unreleased Guns N Roses tracks, and made them available for public downloading. The site received so much traffic after the songs were posted that it crashed, and soon after the FBI came-a-knockin.
There’s no doubt about it, SKWERL’s in an all out battle with the RIAA, and we got his back yo!
Check out the L.A. Times story.
