So what is all this Nu Disco craze we’ve been hearing about lately. Is it Electro, French House, Euro Disco…? In short, Nu Disco seems to have stemmed out of all of these genre’s of dance music and combines the sound of 70’s and 80’s disco music as well. Rather than trying to define this branch of dance music that seems to have become apparent somewhere in 2009, we’re just going to give you a taste of all the illest DJs/Producers that have been running the Nu Disco seen since its recent conception. We went over Louis La Roche awhile back and now it’s time to move on to Cassian from Sydney, Australia.
Nu Disco is contagious. You can’t help but move to it. I remember doing a gig with La Muerte awhile back and I couldn’t help but notice the crowd response. La Muerte is far from a top 40 DJ but I can tell you, he had a top 40 crowd going nuts to the Nu Disco tracks he was playing. Coming from a DJs perspective we love it because it works every time. You can be spinning just about anywhere and this stuff hits. Anyhow, here are a couple of gems and an hour long mix from Cassian, who can be considered a pioneer in Nu Disco music.
